Olmec Gordo
Tasting profile
The imposing Gordo format of the Olmec Gordo Claro impresses even before lighting with its velvety, light San Andrés wrapper from Mexico. Thanks to the generous 60 ring gauge, the draw is perfectly balanced, delivering cool, dense smoke right from the start. On the palate, the cigar opens with fine earthy and roasted aromas, accompanied by subtle cedarwood and a touch of white pepper. As it progresses, the Nicaraguan filler tobaccos unfold a creamy-spicy depth with notes of unsweetened cocoa and roasted almonds. The combination of Nicaraguan structure and the delicate minerality of the wrapper gives it a complex, medium-to-full-bodied profile. A slow-paced pleasure for the late evening, ideally paired with an aged rum or a Speyside Single Malt.
