The silky-smooth, pale gold Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper envelops this classic Dominican Robusto in an exceptionally elegant appearance. Even the cold draw reveals excellent craftsmanship and an optimally calibrated draw resistance. Upon lighting, a densely structured, creamy volume of smoke unfolds. Fine nuances of toasted almonds, light leather, and cedar wood play upon the palate and nose. As the smoke progresses, the harmoniously balanced medium-bodied blend reveals a subtly sweet note of fresh pastry, rounded off by a hint of white pepper. The burn proves to be impeccably even. A refined pleasure for the late afternoon, superbly accompanied by a velvety cappuccino or a mild, barrel-aged rum.
